Head of Biostatistics, USA
As Head of Biostatistics I get to work with the clinical development department to plan clinical trials. This includes determining how many patients that are needed for a trial and how the results of our trials will be determined. I also plan and manage the analyses of the results of Bavarian Nordic’s clinical trials in both infectious diseases and oncology.

I have always wanted a career in which I could make a difference and help people, and in particular people who have been diagnosed with cancer. At Bavarian Nordic, everyone I work with is as passionate about what we do as I am! We are working to prevent multiple dangerous, infectious diseases and to give those diagnosed with cancer new therapy options. My role in reviewing our trial data and results allows us as a team to move forward in our desire to provide new, safe treatment options for multiple indications.
What makes Bavarian Nordic unique from other companies within the industry is the team spirit and common purpose felt in everything we do. Here at Bavarian Nordic, we’re invested from beginning to end: from the research and development of our vaccines in Germany to the manufacturing in Denmark, to the clinical trials we run through our office in US.
I learn something new every day, not just within the biostatistics area but also about our products and indications. I’m fascinated by the science behind how our products work and Bavarian Nordic is great at sharing these details with their employees.
